How much does knife sharpening cost?

Most kitchen knives are $8–$12 each. Pocket knives are $10+ each, serrated knives are $12+ each, and household scissors are $12+ per pair. Larger tools, repairs, and specialty blades depend on the work needed. See the Pricing page for the current rates.

How long does sharpening take?

Most routine jobs are ready the same day. Larger sets, specialty blades, and repairs may take longer. I'll give you an estimated turnaround with your quote before drop-off.

What types of knives and tools do you sharpen?

I sharpen kitchen knives, pocket and everyday carry knives, serrated blades, ceramic knives, household scissors, and garden tools such as pruners, loppers, hedge shears, and axes. Can you repair chipped knives or broken tips?

Often, yes. The repair depends on where the damage is and how much of the blade is affected. I'll review your photos and explain the work needed. You can see examples of broken tips and damaged edges on the Before & After Results page.

How should I transport my knives?

Cover each cutting edge and tip with a blade guard or securely folded cardboard, then pack the knives so they cannot move around. Don't bring loose knives in a bag or box. Bubble-wrap sleeves are available at the drop box. Text me if you need help packing an unusual blade.
